Made from post-industrial waste that mainly comes from factory fabric waste, although it sometimes comes from other sources, such as ghost fishing nets. Our recycling process allows us to achieve a quality that is very similar to that found on 100% virgin nylon, but with the bonus of greatly reducing the consumption of all natural resources in the supply chain. The manufacturing process of recycled Recore X-FLEX produces 28% less CO2 than our conventional X-FLEX Nylon. 150% stretch neoprene is used in our high-performance wetsuits. Gul’s exclusive fast-drying neoprene. The ultra-quick-dry core wicks water away from the skin creating a cushion of air between the body and suit, giving immense insulation and warmth.
Panels are double glued and then butted together followed by stitching that does not penetrate all the way through the limestone neoprene.
Limestone based neoprene is still made from the chloroprene compound, but instead of using petroleum-based ingredients it now uses calcium carbonate from limestone to form chloroprene rubber chips. The elongation, flexibility and insulation characteristics of limestone neoprene is the same or even better than its predecessor petroleum-based neoprene. This makes limestone neoprene one of the most flexible and warm neoprene types out there. Some brands promote Limestone under other fancy names for their so-called more environmentally friendly neoprene, at GUL we like to tell it as it is. GUL has chosen to use limestone neoprene, which still has a higher carbon footprint than natural rubber alternatives, but is currently more flexible and warmer. Please consider this when choosing a limestone wetsuit over our YULEX natural rubber wetsuits.

This diagonal zip entry system has a single-sided opening reducing flush. The glide-skin seal and bungee cord/barrel lock keeps more water out. A snap lock ensures that the zip pull stays in place.
