Growing up in Newquay it's pretty inevitable everyone tries surfing waves on the coast. I tried aged six and like many was hooked! I have fond memories of long summers down Fistral beach surfing nonstop with friends and annoying the lifeguards!
I entered my first contest age 10 and really got a buzz from surfing competitively straight away, from there winning every age group at the English and British championships, and now proud to say representing England and Britain several times at the European and world games.
I have been lucky enough to compete around the world at iconic surf spots I dreamed of as a child.
My focus and passion the last few years has been exploring remote coastline around Britain, waiting patiently for the right winter swells and uncovering some world class waves which have never been ridden. There have been some incredible finds and really exciting times. This led to filming the surf documentary 'the endless winter', a surf film about the history of British surfing and what's left to explore, something I'm proud to have been involved in.
If it's hours riding a jetski scouring the coastline of a remote Scottish Island or competing against Britains best on the UK tour, I'm really grateful to be wearing and testing Guls wetsuits in my passion. If that's keeping warm, supple and comfortable whilst competing they are the best!
See you in the lineup!
